Art Fair went pretty well considering we had patches of downpours!!! A pretty steady crowd came through my booth which (lucky for me) was located right by the music stage (I got to rock out) and the food and bakery booth. The combination of those allowed for a LOT of traffic. I would definitely do that fair again! If it were a warm and sunny day I think I would have had a "best of all time" type profit!
Now I must turn my attention towards The Artsy Fartsy Fair in Stoughton, Wisconsin on June 20. It is located on Highway 51, Main Street in the Historic downtown area of Stoughton. The awesome organizers (who are close friends) are hoping for a crowd of 5,000! My booth will be right by Flight of Fancy's (the work of Andrea Koser) directly in front of the Cinema Cafe. If you are in the area, please come out for a fabulous day of art! 10-5.
I went to Midnight Moon, a local bead store with a great selection, this afternoon to get more materials for my new pearl necklace set that I designed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and couldn't bring myself to part with the original, so I will make one more set. I usually try to only design one or at the most two of any given design so that each piece is original. I also picked up some new C-Koop copper enamel beads (C-Koop is out of Minnesota, and not only is the desinger uber talented, I've met her and she is very nice!!). I'm really excited to get in my studio and bring my ideas for these pieces to life! :) Lovely turquoise and copper colored pieces as well as some green. Lovely.
Yesterday was Nick's last day of elementary school. I refrained from crying. I brought ice-cream treats to his school after field day in celebration of his birthday (which is July 9) and taunted him that I was going to lose it in front of his friends. I handled it well though. Not even close to tears. Now I get 10 weeks off with the three youngest loves of my life and hope that the oldest one gets to take a vacation this summer cuz it'd be nice to have him all to ourselves for a full uninterupted week! :)
