Welcome!

Hi there!

Welcome to my blog! I finally decided to try to advertise my business via the web, and I thought a blog may be the way to go. I've tried blogging one time before, but kept forgetting to add to it. Oh well! Try, try again...

My jewerly business, Irene Jordan Designs, was founded after the birth of our daughter, Natalie Irene in 2005. At that time my husband, Jeremy, and I decided it would be best for me to stay home with Natalie. That also let me be home waiting when our older child, Nicholas Jordan (from a prior relationship--- you rock Josh ;) ) came home from school. That left me with a lot of free time (at the time) and I began taking jewelry classes on the weekends and designing while Natalie napped. Four years and another child, Samuel Oliver, later, Irene Jordan Designs (named after our first two children's middle names) is still alive and kicking! I have taken over 40 classes in jewelry design and have taken part in many fine art fairs. In addition, my jewelry is located and available for purchase in boutiques in Southern Wisconsin. I am planning to open an Etsy Shop soon to sell my jewelry online. It is all very exciting!

Currently, in addition to prepping my Etsy Shop, I am getting ready for the Cambridge Art Fair (Cambridge, WI) on June 6 and the Stoughton Artsy Fartsy Fair (Stoughton, WI) on June 20. These shows will feature new designs-- my mind has been going 100mph with ideas that I can't wait to get into my studio and produce! I'm doing all this while chasing after Natalie 4 and Sam (almost 2) during the day, helping Nick practice baseball, completing my Master's of Curriculum & Instruction (teaching) degree, and working part time at Gymboree for some extra adult interaction! Needless to say, I'm busy, but loving it!
